A lot of fuss over nothing

FIA President, Max Mosley, has said that it is highly unlikely that Toyota will face any penalties following its failure to obtain the correct licences for the first four races of the season.

"There won't be any penalties," the Englishman told Gazzetta dello Sport, "it was a mistake."

Indeed sources at the FIA confirm that the issue is regarded as being nothing more than an oversight, which will be dealt with at the next meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in June.

This follows claims by a magazine, and subsequently by its 'sister' website, that Toyota risked losing all its points for the first four Grands Prix. Something which was never going to happen.
