BAR banned for 2 races

BAR will lose its points from the San Marino GP, and will also be excluded from both the Spanish and Monaco events.

A further 6 month ban is suspended for 1 year.

The Court of Appeal in Paris found that the appeal brought by the FIA, regarding its stewards' decision in Imola, was admissible, furthermore it invalidates the decision (No 49) of the stewards at the San Marino Grand Prix.

The BAR team failed to comply with Articles 1.9, 4.1, 4.2, 2.6 of the Sporting Regulations and also violated Article 151-c of the International Sporting Code.

Consequently, BAR is excluded from the next two events in the FIA Formula One World Championship, furthermore it is excluded from the results of the event in question (San Marino).

BAR is suspended for a period of 6 months - after the two events from which it is banned - this penalty suspended for 1 year.

The Brackley team will also have to pay costs.
