On the day that Ferrari completed its thirtieth day of testing since the season began, F1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, came up with his own unique proposal for a possible testing agreement.

The Englishman believes that Grand Prix Fridays should be given over to testing, with all the teams allowed just ten additional test days throughout the remainder of the season.

"My proposal is that you can do 10 days of testing during the season and run on Friday morning for five or six hours," Ecclestone told reporters at a promotional lunch for the French Grand Prix.

"Or if you want to do more than 10 days, then you can't test on Friday," he added. "We could put that through in the Formula One commission."

After just four Grands Prix, out of nineteen, Ferrari has now completed 30 days of testing, BAR has completed 12 days, as have Renault, McLaren and WilliamsF1. Toyota is on 9, Red Bull 8, Sauber 6, Jordan 5 and Minardi 3.
