A nice, not to mention ironic, piece of memorabilia

A rather nice, not to mention ironic, piece of motor racing memorabilia is currently up for grabs on Ebay.

It's a programme from the Chequer Bitter Classic in Birmingham in 1984, which was a curtain raiser for that year's International Motor Show at the National Exhibition Centre.

Nothing that historic there, some might say.

However, when you consider that it has been autographed by, amongst others, Juan-Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Jack Brabham, John Surtees, John Watson, Derek Bell, Baron Toulo de Graffenried, Roy Salvadori, Tony Brooks, David Hobbs, Carroll Shelby and Richard Noble, it takes on a whole new significance.

Why ironic, well one of the support races (event 2) features the Austin Rover Track Stars, while another event pays tribute to Jaguar.

Some of you may remember how Pitpass previously drew attention to the fact that all is not what it might be claimed to be on Ebay, however there are no such fears with this item, it comes from the personal collection of Pitpass' very own Mike Lawrence.
