In a repeat of September 2001, when the Ferrari's ran at Monza with a 'special' livery, featuring black, to mark the terrorist atrocities in the Unite States, the Italian team will today officially recognise the passing of Pope John Paul II by running with black noses.

It has already been revealed that Jarno Trulli has featured a special motif (an initial) on his helmet in recognition of the pontiff, who died on Saturday night.

with the race being held in a Muslim country it is unlikely that there will be any official recognition, though other teams and drivers will surely have their own way of paying their respects.

Earlier this year, the Ferrari team paid a special visit to Rome to meet the ailing Pontiff, Michael Schumacher, who had met the Pope on a previous occasion, calling it one of the greatest moments of his life.
