McLaren says no to movie offer

NEWS STORY

The Daily Mail is reporting that McLaren boss Ron Dennis has turned down a request from the producers of Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction to use the team's hi-tec Woking facility as a location.

The publicity, not to mention the money, on offer would have been considerable, as the producers attempt to build on the success of the original 1992 movie, which starred Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone.

The reason for the decision not to give permission is not known - perhaps it's the fear of actors and crew injuring themselves, or merely that any re-creation of that scene might cause certain Woking personnel to get all hot and bothered.

As if.
