WilliamsF1 is to hold a press conference the day before it is scheduled to reveal its livery for 2005.

Although the FW27 will not be launched until the end of January, the Grove based outfit will reveal its new livery at a special event due to be held at the Bahrain International Circuit on Friday 7 January.

However, the team has now revealed that it will hold a special press conference in London on Thursday 6 January in London, which will be attended by team boss Frank Williams and other key personnel.

It's highly likely that the team will use the London press conference to announce a new sponsorship deal with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

In recent days there has been much speculation that the team has already decided on who will drive the second car, with some sections of the media claiming that Nick Heidfeld has been chosen in preference to Antonio Pizzonia.

Speaking to Pitpass, a WilliamsF1 spokesman insisted that this is definitely not the case, no decision has been made and nobody has been signed as yet.

Then again, the media always knows best.
