D-Day for Bernie?

F1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, who has admitted that he will feel "shattered" and "disappointed" if the British GP doesn't go ahead next year, may have other reasons to feel "shattered" and "disappointed" by the end of the day.

WE understand that the outcome of the legal suit involving the three banks that own 75% of F1 and Ecclestone will be announced this morning.

The decision wasn't expected until the end of the month, but we now hear that this has been brought forward.

Despite owning 75% of F1, the banks have virtually no say in the running of the sport and are also known to be extremely unhappy with some of the appointments Mr Ecclestone has made in terms of board members.

The remaining 25% of F1 is owned by SLEC, a trust fund for Ecclestone's family.
