Australian Grand Prix boss, and very good friend of Bernie Ecclestone, Ron Walker, is one of the race organizers to announce that he won't be entertaining bids from the 'breakaway' Grand Prix World Championship (GPWC), which is due to get underway in 2008.

Less than 24 hours after GPWC revealed that it has secured the services of leading sports marketing and management company, International Sports and Entertainment AG, and vowed that the series will become the "pinnacle of world motor sports", Walker has said that he is not interested.

"We in Melbourne will not be going along with GPWC," he told a press conference, "we will be continuing our relationship with Ecclestone.

"Frankly, I can't see this getting off the ground," he continued. "I think there is a conspiracy, if you will, between the motor manufacturers and the banks to try and force Ecclestone to do things that he doesn't want to do. This is probably a game of cards at the moment that is intensifying."

Then again, there's always Adelaide.
