Minardi is to run a special 'tribute livery' in honour of its sporting director, John Walton, who passed away on Friday night.

The cars will run in today's British Grand prix without any advertising logos and will instead simply bear the words 'John Boy'.

The livery was unveiled this morning at a special ceremony attended by members of the team, the media and various F1 personnel, including former Minardi drivers Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber.

Walton worked with a number of teams during his twenty-plus years in F1, including, Theodore, Toleman, Benetton, Jordan, Arrows and Prost.

Many of the teams currently involved in F1 have paid their own tributes to the popular Irishman.
