Pascal Wehrlein and Rio Haryanto have received reprimands for incidents during this morning's session.

The German was charged with not staying above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU under the virtual safety car, a breach of Article 40.5 of the Sporting Regulations.

Wehrlein gave the stewards evidence that he thought his speed would reduce much quicker than it did, and was surprised at how long it took to get to within the correct time due to this occurring on a very fast straight, which he had not experienced previously.

The stewards deemed a reprimand, the Manor driver's first of the season, an appropriate penalty.

Six minutes later, teammate Rio Haryanto re-joined the track after spinning off, the Manor driver finding himself in the path of Daniel Ricciardo who was forced to slow.

Despite Haryanto's assertion that he thought Ricciardo would slow sufficiently under the yellow flag to allow him to re-join the track safely, the stewards were of the view that there was potential risk in the manoeuvre and that therefore it was not safe.

Deemed to have left the track and re-joined when it was not safe to do so, a breach of Article 27.4 of the Sporting Regulations, the Indonesian was also reprimanded, his first of the season.
