Having nominated Maurizio Arrivabene his Team Manager of the Year, and Sebastin Vettel his Driver of the Year, it shouldn't take too much guess work to conclude that in the Pitpass 2015 Awards, editor Balfe would choose Hungary as his Race of the Year.

Of course, other than a lights to flag racing fest, resulting in Vettel's second win of the season, there was the poignant tribute to Jules Bianchi ahead of the race followed by an achingly moving rendition of the Hungarian national anthem.

And at this time of the year when we tend to look back on the preceding months, what beter time for Amalgam to unveil its stunning 1:8 scale version of the Hungarian GP winning car.

This was the car that Vettel described as "un-driveable" on Friday, so that after free practice Maurizio Arrivabene told his engineers and mechanics, "Don't panic, let's start again from the beginning".

This was the car that Ferrari put third on the starting grid.

This was the car that shot into the lead after the lights went out, leaving the mighty Mercedes duo in its wake.

This was the car that over the next 70 laps in the hands of Sebastian Vettel stormed to an unexpected and highly deserved victory under the glorious sun of a Hungarian July afternoon.

This is the car Amalgam has modelled in precise detail exactly as it raced to victory... complete with its tribute to Bianchi decals inside the cokpit.
