NEWS STORY

Amalgam has unveiled its latest 1:8 scale model, and the subject is one of the most iconic of all Ferrari road cars, the fabulous F40.

The stunningly beautiful F40 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door coupe sports car built from 1987 to 1992.

The successor to the Ferrari 288 GTO, it was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary and was the last Ferrari automobile personally approved by company founder Enzo Ferrari. At the time it was the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive car that Ferrari sold to the public

Clearly the F40 is a very special car indeed and Amalgam is using all its skills and passion to create a small limited edition of just 199 models that live up to the perfection of the real car and artfully deliver its essence.

Pitpass editor, Chris Balfe, who owns Amalgam 1:8 scale models of the legendary Porsche 917 - as raced at Brands Hatch in 1970 by Pedro Rodriguez - the fabulous McLaren M8D Can-Am car and Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari 312T4 says: "These are not just models, they are far beyond that, they are works of art".

The F40 is available to Pre-Order now, for more information visit the Amalgam website
