McLaren changes Bahrain test plan

McLaren has changed its plan for this week's two-day test in Bahrain, giving Kevin Magnussen both days in the MP4-29.

The original plan was for Oliver Turvey to test on Tuesday with Bahrain GP2 Feature Race winner Stoffel Vandoorne driving the car on Wednesday.

However, Pitpass understands that in the interests of driver continuity and given the importance of this test ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix, the team opted to change its plan.

Jenson Button and Magnussen were both invited to take part but we understand that the British driver - who celebrated his 250th Grand Prix start on Sunday, but not perhaps in the manner he wished having suffered a clutch issue - was comfortable with Magnussen driving on both days.

We understand Turvey and Vandoorne will both take part in some of the forthcoming tests.
