Brazil pole-man Nico Hulkenberg has left the Williams team, just one day after the 2010 season finale.

The German broke the news on his own personal website this morning.

The statement read as follows:

"Nico Hulkenberg and the British Williams team will be going their separate ways in 2011. Both sides could not come to an agreement about a contract extension and will finish their cooperation by the end of this year.

After many weeks of unclarity the brea-kup is now agreed. "I heavily regret that, because I would have been happy to stay with Williams," said 'the Hulk'". "I want to thank the team for a great time and I wish Williams all the best for the future."

Although dropping out of Williams 'the Hulk's' F1 career is supposed to go on in 2011. "I am negotiating with other teams," manager Willi Weber said. "Nico will have his seat in F1 in 2011.

'The Hulk' had risen to a Williams race driver in 2010 after having been test driver for the Grove based team for two years. The 23 years old has competed in 19 Grand Prix for Williams scoring 22 championship points and securing one pole position."
