Even though it does not have an entry for 2010, Serbian hopeful Stefan GP is pushing ahead with its programme, revealing that its chassis has passed its crash test.

Having revealed that the team will spend the forthcoming season testing the car, in the hope that entry to the 2011 World Championship can be secured, the team has now announced that its car has successfully passed the mandatory crash test, though it was carried out internally by an independent outsourcing company and not by the FIA itself.

According to the team: "The tests are performed under strict FIA mandatory rule implementation and is carried out as pre-test for confirmation of design and manufacturing of car."

The Serbian outfit claims that the S-01 will undergo the full FIA test by the end of January 2010.

Just before Christmas, the team revealed that team founder Zoran Stefanovic had visited Toyota Motorsport in Cologne where he met with many leading figures involved with the Japanese company's F1 project including team boss John Howett and Executive Vice President Yoshiaki Kinoshita.
