Bernie Ecclestone has cast further doubt on F1 hopefuls US F1, claiming that, in his opinion, the American team will not be on the grid next season.

Despite the claims of team bosses Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor, all willingly swallowed by certain sections of the media, many remain dubious regarding the North Carolina based outfit. Indeed, the spin and photographs that mean absolutely nothing - a guy sitting at a computer - as opposed to valid evidence of work and real information, has led to lampooning, such as that witnessed on YouTube.

Now, Ecclestone has cast further doubt of the American outfit, though, according to the Times, he also harbours doubts regarding Spanish outfit Campos Meta which has already signed Bruno Senna.

"I think the people we expected to perform will and those that we thought wouldn't, won't," he told the British newspaper.

However, cryptically, he claims that there will be 24 cars on the grid next season, which, should he be right about US F1 and Campos, would leave us with only 22 cars.

Perhaps his Serbian former wife, Slavica, is giving her backing to Zoran Stefanovic' Stefan GP.
