The last test session of 2008 got underway this morning at Paul Ricard on a wet track that only dried just before the lunch break.

Using the 3D configuration, Davide Valsecchi once again confirmed his good form at the wheel of his Durango car, setting the pace with a 1:18.496 just before the chequered flag. The Italian was half a second clear of DAMS Jerome d'Ambrosio.

Completing the Top Three was Luca Filippi in the Super Nova ahead of Romanian Michael Herck (DPR). The second DAMS driver posted the fifth best time with Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel, ahead of British driver Oliver Turvey in the iSport, Luiz Razia (FMS), Koudai Tsukakoshi and Vitaly Petrov (both Campos). Newcomer Fabio Leimer (Trident) completed the Top 10.

The session will resume at 14.00 (local time), when Mike Conway will replace Oliver Turvey at the wheel of the iSport car.
