Ron Dennis has rubbished a report in the Spanish media which claims he is considering stepping down as McLaren team boss in the near future.
Ahead of this weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia, El Pais quoted the Englishman as saying: "All the difficulties of the past ten months have made it difficult to make decisions about my future. However, if you ask me whether I am considering taking a step back, the answer is yes."
However, speaking in Valencia this morning, the Englishman rubbished the story, claiming not to have spoken to the media for several weeks, indeed, since the Hungarian Grand Prix.
"It's total fabrication," he told reporters. "I don't know where it came from, I haven't spoken to anyone."
