Having last week announced that its scheduled launch would not go ahead this week as planned, Super Aguri has now revealed that it will not be attending this week's Barcelona test, though it insists that it will be present at Barcelona next week, one of the final tests before the 2008 season gets underway.

A brief statement issued today, the eve of the test, said: "The Super Aguri F1 Team will not be participating at the test in Barcelona this week due to circumstances beyond our control. We are planning to attend the test at the Circuit de Catalunya next week with two cars."

Prior to last week's test at Jerez, when it had one car on track for each of the three days, the Leafield-based outfit had not tested since January 14, when James Rossiter completed 10 laps at the same venue.

At the time of last week's announcement the team revealed that the launch had been delayed until both its drivers are confirmed and a number of sponsorship deals have been completed.
