According to Initiative Sports Futures' ViewerTrack, the Brazilian Grand Prix was the second most watched sporting event of 2007.

The race, shown late afternoon/early evening in F1's European heartland, was the season title decider, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen taking a dramatic race win, and the title, having fought back from a 17 point deficit.

The Super Bowl was the most watched live TV sports event last year with the UEFA Champions League Final being third, ahead of the IRB World Cup Final, the World Athletics Championships, the MLB World Series, IIHF World Men's Handball Championship Final, the US Masters (Final Day); Wimbledon, and the ICC World Twenty20 Championship Final.

Initiative Sports Futures, published the report showing the top 10 live TV events for 2007, drawn from a pre-selected list of 15 events viewed worldwide and chosen for both their sporting importance and commercial value.

Just a pity we all had to wait almost a whole month before the actual result of the race - and the championship - was finally decided.
