NEWS STORY

When we invited you to the launch of our new car, the STR2, we hinted that getting it ready was a bit of a last minute affair. Then at the launch itself in Barcelona, we had just one car and only one driver. Next, we moved on to the Bahrain test, where again, there was just one car and our two drivers had to take turns at the wheel.

People speculated we were ill prepared and behind schedule. But now we can reveal the truth: unlike other teams who simply pay lip service to Saving the Planet, who believe thay can stop Global Warming with a fancy paint job, we have taken the bull by the horns and tackled our Carbon Footprint head on.

Ladies and gentlemen, we present our new STR2+2 and we reckon we will be the greenest car on the grid, with both our drivers sharing the same chassis and engine and therefore using just one fuel load while putting out one set of emissions. Believe us, it’s the way to go and one day, all Formula One cars will be built this way.

(but just in case the FIA deem the car illlegal, a second STR2 car underwent a sucessful shakedown and test at Mugello last week and is here in Melbourne in our pit garage.)
