A1 Team France heads to the penultimate round of the new A1 Grand Prix Series at Laguna Seca aiming to clinch the championship with nominated driver Nicolas Lapierre. A1 Team France has taken thirteen wins from eighteen races this season and is fresh from Alexandre Prémat's double victory in the last round in Mexico. The
team has 153 points and is 32 points ahead of A1 Team Switzerland with two rounds to go.

"Until now, I've only seen the Laguna Seca track on TV," said Lapierre. "But since I have left Monterrey last week I have mentally been thinking of driving around it. It looks like it will be a fun, but physically demanding track as it runs anti-clockwise. In any case I'm feeling very strong and fit and have worked on preparing my neck muscles so it shouldn't be a problem for us. It's a big weekend for the team and I really want to take the wins and the championship at this race. I'm ready for the challenge."

Jean-Paul Driot, team principal, A1 Team France commented: "The race in Laguna Seca is a big one for the team. Our plan is the same as ever to go fast and leave everyone else behind us and win the championship. Nicolas Lapierre is up for the challenge and will not buckle under the pressure. While I'm not travelling to the US for this leg of the championship, I will be in close contact with the engineers by phone and would like to wish the whole team good luck."
