JP Morgan has sold its 14.175% shareholding in Formula One to CVC Capital Partners, less than two weeks after Bernie Ecclestone and BayernLB sold their 75% holding, and at a time when there were fears that the American bank, along with Lehman Brothers, might scupper the deal.

This means that Alpha Prema, the company formed by CVC, now owns 86 percent of F1, while Lehman Brothers, which, like JP Morgan held a 14.175 percent stake, remains the only shareholder that hasn't sold to CVC.
