It has been exclusively confirmed to Pitpass that the Malaysian round of the inaugural A1 series, due to held at Sepang will be a night race.

The event, scheduled to take place on 18-20 November, will see both the Sprint and Feature races run in the evening, approximately 13:00 GMT.

The high-level source told Pitpass that it will be "amazing to watch".

It's not known at this time if there are plans to run any other A1 events as 'night' races.

It's understood that the ongoing technical issues, regarding batteries and wheel nuts are being worked on, with a "number of arses being kicked".

Furthermore, we understand that the timing failures that caused problems are also being worked on. Apparently a test on Thursday was successful, as reported by Pitpass, however there were a couple of failures during the weekend, mainly due to the amount of information being processed.

The on-screen graphics are also being improved, with Pitpass suggesting that it should be made clear which drivers have pitted - and which haven't - during the Feature race.
