Several members of the Williams F1 team, including Jim Wright, head of Williams marketing, were injured in a traffic accident on the way to the circuit this morning.

The marketing team's bus was 'clipped by T-boned by another vehicle.

We understand Wright thrown out and suffered cut head.

Fortunately, Professor Sid Watkins was next on the scene and an ambulance arrived on the scene very quickly.

Chris Tyring of marketing was also taken to hospital for check-up. Peter Phillips, son of Princess Anne was in the vehicle but not hurt.

The accident comes less than a week after designer Gavin Fischer was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, and at a time when Ralf Schumacher returns to the cockpit after a six race lay-off as he recovered from injuries sustained at Indianapolis.

It really is turning into something of an Annus Horribilis for the Grove outfit.
