Italian GP winner Rubens Barrichello were the sole runners at Jerez today.

Rubens was at the wheel of an F2004 working on a technical programme that centred on tyre work for the forthcoming Chinese Grand Prix.

Massa covered 72 laps in chassis C23-05, he will continue tomorrow before Vitantonio Liuzzi takes over the driving on Thursday.

"Due to the delay in the morning we could only
start our test around noon," said race engineer, Mike Krack. "This obviously threw us back, but we were able to compensate this loss of time a bit and I'm confident that we will complete our this week's programme.

"The afternoon we basically spent with Bridgestone tyre work for the remaining three races. We will verify the gathered data tomorrow. Because of the fairly strong wind we could not run our planned aerodynamic tests today and have decided to postpone them to tomorrow."
