Just thought that I would start this topic but I know that everyone's answer is going to be the same. yep Senna/ Prost was the best driver line up ever.
No one say Michael Schumacher and rubens Barrichello please!!!
Hakkinen and david Coulthard used to be a great line-up.
Let's hear some of yours.

Of course Schumacher + anyone would be strongest driver team Wink but if were are purely looked at roughly equal drivers then here is my top 5:

1) Senna Prost (duh!)
2) Fangio Moss
3) Mansell Piquet
4) Lauda Prost
5) Jones Reutermann

To be honest, there aren't that many more great driver pairing which shows that having two top drivers in the same team is a rare occurance in history. Therefore, Schumacher should not be lambasted for not being tested.

Still missing with the competition between PROST/SENNA
Kimi/JPM next year should be the strongest

What about Prost/Mansell?

Wasn't that strong/exciting?

Prost Senna was the strongest ever but remember how it ended up.
They didn't get on.

On paper, it was a strong driver pairing but they never really fought each other. Mansell has bad luck, unreliability and suffered under Prost's perceived preferential treatment whereas Prost was fighting Senna for the title.

Exactly. Prost may have accepted Senna in '88 (though it is arguable that if didn't, Mclaren wouldn't have got Honda engines) but Prost made amends in '93 by vetoing Senna.

Schumacher is a smart cookie and learned from Prost's mistake Wink

1. Moss/Fangio
1. Senna/Prost
1. Caracciola/Lang/Seaman/von Brauchitsch
1. Nuvolari/Varzi
1. Rosemeyer/Stuck

And so-on... Smile

What about the 1958 Vanwall line up? Moss/Brooks/Lewis-Evans
Or Lotus 1968? Clark/Graham Hill
Or even the 1951 Alfa Romeo team? Farina/Fangio/Fagioli
Surely these compare with Senna/Prost, Prost/Lauda, etc
And there's also Lauda/Reutemann

Maybe not "The" best, but reading some of the others, I would place this team up there for a worthy mention...

Scheckter / Villeneuve

That is a prime example of how statistics can be misleading......
