"Regular readers will be delighted to know that Mike Lawrence is currently wading through the 500 page report and will be giving his own verdict on it and the chances of a 2012 event early next week. We are assured that for Ecclestone, and those others with a vested interest, it will not make comfortable reading."
Will we ever!!!! I'm salivating already. Go, Doctor L!!!! |

Well, there you go - it's about time the Austin organisers went round shooting folk, and then blaming local hospital staff to guarantee a place in Bernie's good books.
Oh damn it no, they are those ultimate low-lifes failing to stuff CVC coffers with ever more dollars that won't make any contribution to the sport. Hanging's too good for such scum.
Look on the bright side, thanks to the Sky deal we won't have to watch half of next year's Bernie's Grubby Profiteerings. A bit like the empty stands at the fly-away Tilkebores in some ways.
Thinking about it - if no-one watches the races from the stands or on the television why are team sponsors paying for space on the cars? There again ever fewer of them are.
I'm sure Bernie and his sickening family tax dodging schemes will be well insulated at the end of the day.
After all, that's what really matters in F1 when it comes to the crunch now that the epic moral heights of Tim Barnes and the Euston 40 are out of the way. |

I wonder where all the insurance companies come down on whether or not to go to Bahrain. If they thought there was too big a risk, then they would not cover the teams, although Bernie could do that out of his daughter's petty cash, those two bastions of F1 legend (i.e. obscenely rich from a sport they had absolutely stuff all to do with).
What surprises me most about this whole debate is Bernie's confidence or insistence that everything will be OK. He somehow believes that his own force of personality is enough to put things right. He doesn't seem to get it that his opinion counts for jack sh*t about what others will do or not do.
If Bahrain does go ahead, I hope there will be no problems. But I have no confidence in that. If things get ugly, F1 will be exposed to the wider world as the money-grubbing entity it has become. Not good. |

At times like this, it IS VERY WRONG, but I find myself hoping that something backfires to teach these greedy sods a lesson!
Only then might they learn.... |

I know exactly what you mean. Not anyone getting killed or anything, more like that planned day of protest (Day of Rage is it called?) disrupting the race so it can't take place or something like that. |

If it backfires it'll be at the cost of team employees who can't summon a helicopter with a conch. _________________ "With its F1 coverage from 2012 set to play second fiddle, the BBC promises to get fans close to the true experience - of being Mark Webber" #HIGNFY @don_lyall |

So why don't the teams make a stand and refuse to go?
If they all do this Bernie can't suspend them from the next round - there would be no next round. If they all make a stand he can't even really fine them all, they could all refuse to pay, then Bernie has lost his control of F1 - a win-win situation if all of the teams do the right thing and stick together. _________________ Movable body panels - welcome to the Wacky Races |

First of all thanks to pitpass and Mike to keep this topic alive.
I can't believe how little other F1 news outlets want to cover this outrages
plan to race in the middle of a bloody civil war.
Well that the FIA has nothing to say about Bernie's Bahrain Balonie is
obvious, they're just a bunch of clowns anyway. Some teams like
McLaren, Mercedes, Genii and even Ferrari might have problems to say what
they really think because of their "Arabian background".
But what about all the others ??
I can't believe this is happening. What a disgrace. _________________ another kraut in kanada |
