Is it just me or does anyone else think this is a case of handbags at three paces? It’s not like the two teams were locked in a fiercely competitive battle back in 2010 (as far as I can remember).
I can understand Aerolab wanting to get their 700 grand invoice paid...
And now with Force India referring it to the FIA... I would like to know what they (FI) think they'll achieve. Talk about sour grapes. Me thinks they would be better occupied focusing their resources’ on making this year’s car go a bit faster.... |

I am not suggesting that it is their thinking, but if I had a largish bill and a smallish bank balance, I might do whatever I could to hold up having to pay......... _________________ Yes, I Know that I'm a BOF. Someone please tell me why I still watch. |

Possibly, but now they are/have had to pay Aerolab's legal expenses as well as their own. That won't be cheap.
And why go to the FIA? |

Bill avoidance is something of a specialty I understand. And, why go to the FIA? Simple ... spite. |

Perhaps putting off the day of payment will allow the team, and one of its parent organisations, time to go into liquidation and spring fresh from the ruins dodging sundry debts along the way.
Anyone booked a ticket on Kingfisher recently?
There is a football team just down the road from here, locally described as Govan Tax Dodgers 2012 Ltd, heading for the same route out of financial ruin.
You could ask what chance HRT, Force India, Williams and Sauber have of surviving the season with the current economic state of the teams and the apparent level of sponsorship available in the market place. |

Clearly this was a case of Mallya trying to get around paying a bill, or at least to avoid paying it on time, something he seems quite adept at. Personally, I think the case should have been dismissed right at the beginning. If Force India never paid for the work done on their behalf, they cannot then turn around and claim ownership of said work.
Putting his financial dealings to one side, the overwhelming impression I have of the man is that he has one impossibly huge ego. Comeuppance might be at hand. He has to pull some magic out of the hat to save an airline (if Sahara doesn't buy that too). |
