Evening all.

Upon request, I received this DVD at Christmas, and I have to say it is absolutely brilliant.

I am by no means a bike fan, but there's something about the Isle of Man TT that is just unlike utterly everything else. After a while, you become acclimatised to the speeds of an F1 car on a track, but seeing a man on a bike doing 200mph through small, narrow roads never ceases to amaze.

Anyway, the DVD. It focuses on a bloke called Guy Martin, who is an absolute scream. I first heard of him a few years ago when a car magazine I subscribe to did a feature on him and the new Aston Martin he'd bought, and have subsequently become familiar with his name after a few years of watching the TT. However, unfortunately for Guy, he is infamously known as the fastest man never to have won it.

For anyone who isn't a north-Englander, his accent might take a little bit of adjusting, but he truly is one of the characters of motorsport.

Quite honestly, I rank the TT amongst the highest of motorsporting spectacles, and some of the footage in the DVD is breathtaking. It's beautifully crafted, and while the first half sets the seen in a "Six weeks to go" kind of way, the second half is electrifying.

Think the 'Senna' movie, but more humble; the image of a 15 times TT winner mowing the lawn of his semi-detached house somewhat encapsulates the kind of people who compete in it. As I say, you don't need to be a bike fanatic either.

It's fast, it's loud, it's horrifiying. A big thumbs up from the Podge.

Got it a couple of weeks ago and have yet to watch it - definitely moved up my 'to watch' list after that review!

Going to the TT is definitely high up my bucket list.

Interesting review Podge, definitely raised my attention.

Can't say I know much about it except for that old Manx TT arcade game Razz Embarassed
