So this year's Ferrari is to be called the F150. Let's hope it handles better and is more fuel efficient than it's Ford counterpart... _________________ Red Bull - Gives you Championships. |

If Ferrari names a car upon thet italian unification aniversary, I just wonder how will Berlusconi's Unification celebration will be...
Sorry for the off-topic
As Karlos says, what's in a name? It's its performance what really counts. _________________ [slowly trying to return] |

Any truth in the completely made-up-on-the-spot rumour that Ferrari had to respond to Hispania's F111 overtaking their F10 in the "silly made-up chassis numbers" game? _________________ Life is.....the gap between Formula 1 Grands Prix |

Well nothing obviously visually ground breaking on the new Ferrari although it's certainly not in the spec it will be for the 1st race. _________________ Si hoc adfixum in obicle legere potes, et liberaliter educatus et nimis propinquus ades. |

| I don't like it. Don't know why, it just doesn't look beautiful to me at all. Plus the livery isn't very well-designed. I hope they tweak it for Bahrain and get rid of the Italian flag on the rear wing, because it just jars with the rest of it. |

Ditto. Doesn't do anything for me in its current configuration/livery. Meh. |

Yes the flag could be integrated better or at least in a more visually exciting way. _________________ Si hoc adfixum in obicle legere potes, et liberaliter educatus et nimis propinquus ades. |

Looks OK. Not ground-breaking new but at least it looks familiar.
It's good that the regulation changes for this season have not cause such a shocking impact on the car appearances as happened last season.
Ferrari may want to re-think the Italian flag on the rear wing though. It looks just like a big green racing flag (The white and red parts of it just blend in with the rest of the livery). Just imagine Schumi overtakes Alonso in a controversial move again and says afterwards "why not, there were green flags clearly visible all along the track when I followed Alonso - so I overtook him" ... _________________ Brundle on Alonso 2010 - Hard to like, easy to admire. |

Agreed. It's...fine. I'm sure it's quick and reliable.
Question
Everyone is talking of "innovation" as though it's going out of fashion. Now, McLaren have been talking of innovation for a few years - the 2007 car was launched with several "advanced concepts" that are probably still there but just not as obvious as the F-duct.
Is the increase in "innovation! We've got innovation here! Talk about our innovation!" due to
a) layperson shareholders saying "McLaren had innovation. Get innovation!"
b) more restrictive rules (even compared to 2008) placing greater weight on odd ideas?
c) Sporting bull?
d) an increase in "innovation-road cars" mentality to go along with 2013? _________________ "With its F1 coverage from 2012 set to play second fiddle, the BBC promises to get fans close to the true experience - of being Mark Webber" #HIGNFY @don_lyall |

It looks OK to me as well.
It is a Ferrari. It looks like a Ferrari and the Italian flag would appear to be a nice touch towards their heritage.
Who knows how they will perform on track but F1 being a cyclical sport means that you would expect them to be strong.
At times though, you can't help but feel the wheels have fallen off the Ferrari marque. The Abu Dhabi strategy call was a prime example of this but on other occasions, you seem them start strong, expect them to run away with it, only to look like an also ran by early or midsummer.
A three way all season long battle between Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari would be a great spectacle and maybe 2011 is the year that we will get to see that.

I thought we already got this in 2010? _________________ Brundle on Alonso 2010 - Hard to like, easy to admire. |

We did to an extent but Ferrari did not really come good till midsummer, whereas McLaren tailed off towards the end of the year.
Whilst I hope 2011 is just as exciting as 2010, I was considering the prospect of all three being strong all the way throughout the season. |
