Welcome to the Pitpass forum

Before you post in the forum we would appreciate it if you would read the following.

May we bring to your notice the basic rules of 'netiquette' for our forum.

When you start a new topic, please try to ensure that there isn't already a topic on your subject.

It is inevitable that topics will tend to drift away from the original subject, but please don't 'hijack' a topic - consider opening a new one.

Be polite. That means no swearing! For one person it is just "cussing" but for another it may be deeply offensive. Pitpass forum members come from many varied cultures.

Remember, for the most part we are talking "opinions" and we are all entitled to those!

Gremlins or Smilies help to illustrate the way in which you are saying something. Mere text can often be interpreted in a number of different ways.

Pictures - other than avatars - are not permitted, they slow the site and create various copyright issues.

Please do not cut and paste material from other sites, post links, or direct [b]Pitpass forum users, to other F1 sites, or to any website containing F1 related news articles. At worst these are infringements of copyright and will cause Pitpass legal problems, at best we do not want to encourage the posting of what potentially could be unsubstantiated information from rival sites. Such postings will be deleted.[/b]

This is the place for public conversation. If you have a message for just one or two people, please consider using the private e-mail facility. There is a facility for this at the top of their posting.

Keep it legal.

Give credit to the original author - plagiarism is just stealing others' ideas.

Using ALL CAPS is SHOUTING. By all means emphasise important words, but don't overdo it. Consider bold or italics to help make your point.

Pitpass is an English based site, therefore please use English only - this also means we do not allow 'text speak'. Furthermore, please remember basic rules of punctuation - gaps between commas and full stops - failure to do so will make your post difficult and frustrating to read.

Treat other people as you would like them to treat you. Respect costs nothing.

Please proof read your post. If a mistake slips through - use the Edit Post Facility (right button above your post).

Be tolerant of others' mistakes - English isn't everybody's first language.

Try to make your post informative. If you agree - do you really need to say so?

The forum is for supporters of all teams and all drivers

Avatars are permitted, however for reasons of bandwidth and site efficiency the size is limited to 100 x 100 maximum

'Flame wars' and repeated thread hijacking will not be tolerated.

You are entitled to an opinion, but please try and back it up with reasoned argument. Repeatedly trotting out the same statements without reasoned argument will not be tolerated.

Users in serious breach of any of the above will be banned from the forum.

Finally, do please enjoy the Pitpass forum.. it's there for you!
