Your boyfriend is a lucky guy! Smile

I only went there in 2000, though I don't suppose things have changed much. For the race I'd say it's definitely worth it to get stand seats. Turn 1 is where a lot of overtaking and incidents happen, so Stand H is really good - you can see down the pit straight, the pit exit and turns 1, 2 and 3. You can find out about prices and book tickets at www.usgpindy.com. Stand H is actually $105 so that might be too much, but there are plenty of other stands at $85 or even $75. I think you can see quite a lot from most of the stands round the oval part of the stadium, but I don't know what the view is like in the infield (I think it's mostly standing there). There are plenty of big TV screens.

For Friday and Saturday you just pay the daily admission price and you can go and sit in any stand that's open (which is most of them), and you can move from one to the other so you can get different views. According to the website, for Friday it's $10, Saturday is $20, or you can get them combined for $25. A Season Pass is $60 (that's daily admission for the weekend but you don't get a stand seat for the race). You have no idea how CHEAP these prices are compared with most Grand Prix!

While you're there you must go to the museum as well (it's in the infield).

Have a brilliant time. Very Happy

an extra tip: carry an umbralla under any circumstance. from my own experience, it's very helpful if you don't want to protect your skin through the ordeal(i mean if you purchase standing tickets, watching could be tiring)

have a great time!
