A little help...

I can't remember where I heard/read it - it might have been a post on pitpass but I can't be sure.
It was a quote from someone that went something along the lines of "at one end of the spectrum there is [can't remember] and at the other there is [can't remember] and somewhere in the middle lies art."

I'm currently writing an article and that quote would be just perfect, so if anyone can help me out I'd be very grateful - sorry I can't be more specific with what I remember.
If you can tell also tell me who said it that would be even better, but any help would be great before I'm bald through tearing my hair out trying to remember!
