| Actually it was his second year - in his first year he won one race and finished fifth in the standings. The competition is pretty strong, and this year Frentzen will be racing there too. |

| It will be like a mini oldtime f1 grid at the back in DTM next year? |

Probably Jacques. I'd followed him since CART. He was outstanding. Looked like he was going to rule the world. (Especially when Michael moved over to Ferrari.) I suppose he ain't done, yet. Figure he'll join Graham Hill? _________________ Give me Liberty, or give me food stamps. |

I really enjoyed watching Mika Hakkinen. Not many really paid him much attention but if you look at his results in 94/95, when he actually finished, he was putting a pig of a car ahead of the Ferraris that were generally better.
And when he out-qualified Senna at his first race, that was special - I remember seeing Ayrton's face at the end of the session! He tried to be pleased for Mika but you could see how miffed he was!! _________________ To finish first, first you must be Finnish |

| the best post qualy reaction I saw was when Senna put it on pole in Monaco. There's a video floating round the internet of his pole lap and right at the end Prost just shakes his head in amazment. He knew it was a special lap and in a way it was a great tribute from the man |

mika did achieve alot in his time in f1, especially duing the times when he didn't really have the best car... he also managed to beat MS to the world title in 1998 and 99 (although i suppose in99 schumacher was missing for most of it)
just a shame he never came back after his year out, although i think most of us gathered that he never would. |

i don't reallly think that villeneuve can be named as one of the best drivers in the world, but he was a great driver. and as for senna it is just a shame that he wasn't around for more of the 90's |

Senna, Alesi, Berger.
Ayrton was the best, Alesi was a pure racer and Berger was a great character. |

| The thing you have to remember is, if Senna hadn't have tragically died, then JV probably wouldn't have won in 97, and therefore not be held in such high regard he is now. |
