| In the space of two consecutive WCGP races, which driver had the right to have a foot on all three steps of the podium? |

Yes - I was wrong about von Trips - both his wins were in the sharknose. and the Bimotore never got higher than 4th - and was driven by Nuvolari anyway. Just thought it was interesting:-)
The German GP of 1960 was not part of the world championship so didn't show up in the stats I was looking at. Interestingly, the win at Zandvort was the first for BRM - and as far as I can see, the only one they achieved in a front engined car
And to fool me further I now see Trintingant drove for both BRM and Cooper in 1958.
You are right. Gurney one once in a Porsche 804, and twice in the Weslake Eagle. Both rear engined
It was interesting researching it though. Learned a lot |

I was going to ask the running time of John Frankenheimer's classic 1966 movie 'Grand Prix', but ....
So it'll have to be
Who was first disqualified and then a winner of a grand prix? _________________ The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know. |

D-Type, a few questions.
What is a Zerex Cooper-Bristol?
The Zerex Cooper-Climax sportscar was a converted T53 F1 car.
Why were you researching Aus. and NZ for a Brabham win in a front-engined car when you rejected these races?
Brabham won the 1955 Australian GP in his rear-engined Cooper-Bristol. This could be mistaken for a front-engined car in some sources.
I wonder what the French name is for the Tunis GP?
This is all great fun. |

The Zerex Cooper-Bristol was Roger Penske's baby. It was in fact from this car - a damaged Cooper Penske bought and converted to a "sportscar," even adding a seat - that we got The Unfair Advantage. _________________ Give me Liberty, or give me food stamps. |

It seems too simple - and too recent - but are you referring to Eddie Irvine, disqualified from the 1999 Malaysian GP for the infamous Ferrari bargeboard incident and then reinstated as the winner? |

To Sean.
No, that is the Zerex Cooper-Climax.
To D-Type
The French say 'GP de Tunis'
The Italians say 'GP di Tunisia' |

A Zerex Cooper Bristol is a Freudian slip. I meant the front engined Redex Special Cooper-Bristol that Blackie drove in Australia and New Zealand before he came to Britain.
I checked whether he had won the Australian or NZ race 'just in case'. If he had, I would have either phrased the question diferently or missed Lex Davidson anyway.
I don't know the French name for the Tunis GP - nor do I know the Italian name for the 1936 Tripoli GP. As Libya was an Italian colony at the time, I suppose it is stretching things a bit to call it a national GP. Mercedes called it the Grosser Preis von Tripolis in their adverts the year they won it. I have to admit that the advert featured an Italian flag

Carol,
Sorry, no. It wasn't a reinstatement - it's more devious than that. _________________ The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know. |

| Probably wrong, but is it anything to do with Schumacher crossing the line under a stop/go penalty? |

No, more straightforward than that.

| Was it Senna in 1990 - who was initially refused entry to the championship after a spat with Balestre - then when finally readmiited - won the first GP at Phoenix? |
