Been looking for teams with black nose wings. Strangely not that many.
Dallara, Tyrrell, March, Benetton and Ferrari.
Of these Benetton seems the most likely _________________ Movable body panels - welcome to the Wacky Races |

Which F1 WDC race has contained the LEAST number of F1 winners in it *, excluding the first WDC GP and the first Indy 500 race in 1950
*For D-Type: Who hadn't won a WDC race before this race. _________________ Nivola,

The obvious answer would be the second WDC race with 1 previous winner, but that is way too easy.
1960 Italian GP won by Phil Hill had NO F1 winners starting the race _________________ Movable body panels - welcome to the Wacky Races |

I am fairly sure that Ford did not not know about the Lundgren car, but think that they might have been known about the Stebro (driven by Peter Broeker) in 1963. I still doubt it was factory-sanctioned.
I suspect that the '66 Monaco McLaren M2b with a version of the Indy engine is the first "official" ford entry. _________________ Yes, I Know that I'm a BOF. Someone please tell me why I still watch. |

The first official ford entry was the McLaren M2B, the engine was derived from a Ford Indycar engine and was hopeless. The private entry in '51 was a one off thing that didn't really concern Ford, it just happened that Lundgren found a car with a ford engine. The Stebro car was basically a F3 chassis with the ford engine and Hewland gearbox.
Reading my question I didn't say offic1al Ford entry, but hopefully asking for the team that brought them in as a supplier indicated this, instead of an unofficial 1 off effort _________________ Movable body panels - welcome to the Wacky Races |

No problem.
I had to reference my incorrect answer anyway but it amazes me just how much fellow contributors know about the early history of the sport, something I lack.
All power to them. |
