If it helps legitimise the Bonny, in the early seventies we raced a Bonneville outfit, then swapped the engine for a 750 Trident. The name has provenance though! _________________ Yes, I Know that I'm a BOF. Someone please tell me why I still watch.

857 1955. The Ferrari 857 S was an attempt to fight off the Mercedes-Benz team. The 750 Monza had proved inadequate and so a big engine was stuffed into the chassis. _________________ Yes, I Know that I'm a BOF. Someone please tell me why I still watch. |

859 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429
There were 859 Mustang Boss 429s made. (More have been converted since the original production run. (See also MGA T/C))
The origin of the Boss 429 came about as a result of NASCAR rules. Ford wanted to develop a Hemi engine that could compete with the 426 Hemi from Chrysler in the Sprint Cup Series.
NASCAR's homologation rules required that at least 500 cars be fitted with this motor and sold to the general public. Ford chose the Mustang as the home for its new engine. _________________ Yes, I Know that I'm a BOF. Someone please tell me why I still watch. |

In 1986 141 points were scored by the winning constructor (Williams -Honda). First time I've played this game, hope it's within the rules |
