Alex Zanardi: oh yes, what a shame.
I met him twice last year and he's kept his humor and ambition.
I'm full of deepest respect and admiration !
Has anyone read his book? _________________ Helmut S. - Classics in Camera

| I just miss real racers and personalities in general, not these boy band type sponsor promoting happy drivers we have today! |

No, but i can see the future going that way when some of the older generation fade out. I was generalising too much though, i apologize .
Im just annoyed that there are people just not making it in motorsport, for reasons other than their driving, mostly to do with money/sponsorship.

Actually Saturo was a good little driver.
He now runs Nakajima racing which runs cars in the Formula Nippon Series and also Honds NSXs in the Japanese GT series |

I read an interesting article about him some time ago. It maintained that he was a much better driver in the wet than in the dry, because he was not physically suited to F1 racing and the riggors of dry weather racing highlighted that weakness.
Good to hear that he's still contrabuting to racing somewhere. His commitment could never be questioned... although Im sure Honda had a little something to do with his F1 career! |

I can remember Murray Walker in an in-car camera series with his commentary, going to clips of Nakajima, saying, "...and now, at a more liesurely pace..." _________________ Give me Liberty, or give me food stamps. |

| Satoru Nakajima scored points every year he raced, and had the fastest lap at the wet Adelaide in 1989. |

Im surprised that no one has mentioned Nelson Piquet - I put him as one of F1's greatest ever personalities. There must be more stories about his antics than any other driver...
I also miss Gerhard Berger and the famous "suitcase out the chopper" trick as well as his running 20+ laps on full tanks during the 2nd quali @ Adelaide 1993.. what a champ!
