Who was your favourite driver during the 1990's?
I would have to say that mind was probably Damon Hill because he deserved to win the title in 1996. |

If you mean the driver you most liked to watch drive who drove anytime in the 90s it would be Mansell. Didn't have a way to watch F1 until the 80's but of all the drivers I've actually watched race in F1, Mansell was the one I most enjoyed watching. _________________ Those who forget they're passed are doomed to repeat it. |

Nigel Mansell was and probably always will be my favourite.
The best, however, would have to be Michael Schumacher. |

Damon Hill - not the greatest driver in the world but he still won the title. He did it the hard way, coming into F1 very late and then plugging away.
I also had a soft spot for both Gerhard Berger and Jean Alesi - great characters both of them, on and off track. |

i agree with you about Hill. he did well to win the title especially after arriving later in life in f1
Alesi and Berger were both consistent and experienced drivers who deserved even more success. |

| Alesi won one race in a dog of a car, but I wouldn't rate him as one of the best. In fact I wouldn't rate him that highly at all |

| i didn't rate him as one of the best, but he deserved more sucess than he got. only one race win wasn't it? Even RB has got more than that! |

| Alesi was amazing at times, he was typical Latin hothead though, ( Sicilian rather than French ). Sure he blew it many , many times but on his day he was fearless. A real RACING driver and they're not too fashionable at the moment. |

| alesi was a real racing driver at the time and gave it his all. it is about time that there were some more real racing drivers who are fearless and don't rely on so many technical driving aids. |

Alesi just loved - and still loves - racing, and that's why he was great to watch. He never had the temperament or ruthless dedication to win the F1 title, though he should have had more than the one win. He's nearly 40 now and driving in the DTM - he was fifth in the championship last year and won two races (out of ten). And he looks like going on for a good few years yet. Allez Jean! |

if he won 2 races out of ten in his first year then that is not really that bad for his first season.
Good luck next season jean! |
