Regarding the situation which exists between Mr. Gribkowsky and Mr. Ecclestone, if, as it now appears, it was illegal for Mr. Gribkowsky to accept a payment of BP27.5, but, it was not illegal for Mr. Ecclestone to make a payment of BP27.5, and, if Mr.Grkbkowsky is indeed found guilty of accepting a bribe, given a prison sentence for it and he serves out his sentence, when he is released from prison, what will happen to the money? Does he have to give the money back? And, if so, then, to whom? Mr, Ecclestone?
Also, under German law, is there such a thing as sentencing an individual to "time already served"? Let's see ... hmmmmm ... for sitting in prison and waiting for trial while getting paid about BP1m a month ... "nice work if you can get it, but you can get it if you try". |
