What a surrpise??? GJ blames Lewis. How can anyone with a level headed and realistic perspective of motor racing blame Lewis for that one? What is it? You are anti British?, anti McLaren? or what?????? FFS I swore not to post on here again but then I read crap like this!!!!

Aren't you happy enough that the love of your life lucked into another win although at least he didn't need his team mate to crash into a wall for this one

Go on, now you can throw your toys out of the pram about how a site admin shouldn't be so insulting.... email to editor@pitpass.com to have your little compaint!!! Laughing Laughing Pathetic!

I note you still haven't brushed up on your reading skills or forum etiquette. Pity!

Please point out where I blame Hamilton for the accident. All I said was that the punishment Maldonado received might , MIGHT, have been slightly less than expected because of the circumstances of this particular incident. I never stated (or meant to state) that Maldonado shouldn't have been penalized (because the blame was on him imho) or that Hamilton should have been penalized instead. It just doesn't say that anywhere!

Give it a rest already, it's bad for you blood pressure! I have moved on, maybe you should do the same and grow up, FGS!

Regards
GJ

OK to get this back on topic and away form the idiotic there is not much to be said for the idea that Hamilton should have gifted his position to Maldonado and finished a comfortable fourth as what those suggesting it have failed to work out is that (at the time) fifth-placed Nico Hulkenberg was closing at more than 3 secs per lap so the longer Hamilton could keep the Williams behind him the less time Hulkenburg would have to steal 4th place. That is before we factor in Webber and Schuamcher!

Also having watched it again it is clear that Hamilton took a racing line into turn 12 not a defensive one and Maldonado was given more room than many earlier in the race, Grosjean being one coming to mind, and they all avoided a pile up

I think the problem is that Hamilton for some reason is becoming the driver people love to hate. He is probably the biggest draw to the sport right now, or at least as big a draw as Alonso and Vettel, and maybe that is part of the reason. There are others but that is not a subject for this discussion. The fact remains that somehow some have sought to implicate him in what, this time, was nothing of his doing and the fact he refused to be drawn on the incident after only fuelled the fire.

In my opinion those 'people' (I had better not write what I would really like to describe them as) would be better off looking at the current mediocrity of his team mate and realising that what they are seeing is Hamilton raising his game to pull the Mac to places it really should not be. Much like what their hero Alonso is doing with his Ferrari!!!

Kimi managed to pass Hamilton without punting him off the track.

To be honest tiggers he always has been. He came into the sport and people started saying he was spoilt, never had to fight for anything because McLaren had always been behind him, and was ungrateful that he had been given a seat straight at the top.

Which is all a load of bollocks, obviously. The guy's a monster on the track and encapsulates everything I love about Formula One racing.

Also believe Maldonado ended Hamilton's race and position and should have been penalized more....
but still....shouldn't we tolerate opposite opinions...(even if it is opposing at all)
Different Ideas make forums more colourful.
that's My Idea and I'm pretty sure that all site admins here can agree that?

sorry to say a lot.

So much negativity in here you two.. there's bigger things in life to worry about than imagined slights and nitpicking.. Confused Take a Kimi pill!

ahh, but they backed out, Pastor didn't.. to be honest any racing driver worth their salt needs to be pushing as hard as they can, 100% of the time, (Lewis, Monza the other year, Maldonado Australia..) Maldonado and Hamilton are very much in the same mould as drivers (albeit at different levels) and neither were going to give up without a fight, it just so happened that Lewis came off worse this time.

But he was off the track, all four wheels over the line, you cannot launch yourself back onto the track into another car.... it's against the rules for one and damn stupid for another!!!

I've just seen the clip of the incident between Maldonado and Grosjean at Hockenheim in the GP2, and the one of his crash under red flags in the World Series by Renault (not to be confused with hitting a marshal under yellows in Monaco).

The latter looks very scary, hitting two cars with marshals already on the scene. The former is just astonishing.

"Both Pastor and the team have moved on and the focus is now on achieving a good result at Silverstone." - Mark Gillan after Valencia as reported on Pitpass.

In the case of Mad Dog Maldonado, let's see if that's the case next weekend.

I’ve totally changed my ideas about PM and am now convinced that his aggressive style is too much for F1.

Of course, I don't expect him to yield a place but the way he maneuvers fellow drivers to the edge of the track is not on.

There have been too many incidents in recent races involving him and perhaps action does need to be taken.
