Funny isn't it, how Bernie said earlier this week that no-one can "force" the teams to go to a circuit.

Now he turns around and threatens them that they will be in breach of contract if they don't go.

Good grief, does this man ever listen to his own gibberish. I think the old dwarf is really starting to lose the plot. I suppose this is what happens when everything about you is about money, you have no humanity left in you.

My personal feelings are the same as those of Dr Mike adn the rest of the staff of Pitpass, in that the race should NOT go ahead in lieu of the fact that the imminent danger to all involved is extremely high.

Again I have to be an defender for Bernie! (I am sure he really needs me to defend him.)

The two statements are not mutually exclusive.
He cannot force the teams to go, but if they don't they are in breach of contract unless the race is cancelled. What is the difficulty in believing both statements are true?

For the record, I hope that they don't go, whether the race is cancelled or not.

Bernie is just being Bernie. There is no diminishment here at all. It's so totally in his character. That's why he is where he is and I'm scrounging for my next six-pack. Frankly, it's way past time for the FIA to speak. Jean?

There is safety in numbers. If ALL the teams refused to go, breach of contract or no, what is Bernie going to do? Ban them all? Institute a fine? With some clever PR the teams could come away smelling like roses with the media. The difficulty is in getting unity with the teams. Don't hold your breath ...

Ah dear Kismet. You know how I love idealists. But it'll never happen with this mob whose snouts are irredeemably locked into the trough BCE created for them.

Especially a team based in Surrey and partly owned by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company.... Confused

Not to mention the Italian based team who sell a large number of their road-going products to the Middle-East, or the German luxury car maker that makes millions of Euro's per year selling there as well.
