We got ITV commentary in Australia.
Used to listen to Croft in his Podcast days and am a fan.
The best commentary I've heard in a long time. Croft and Bundle together sounds effortless. _________________ Watching F1 since 1998... trackside at Silverstone, Shanghai and Melbourne. |

| Agree - a good start. I prefer Brundle in the expert summariser role. |

They are like Edwards and Coulthard about 60 % of the way to being a decent pair, Coulthard and Brundle were not perfect but were not far off in my opinion of course.
Edwards edges Croft for me as well, based on the past weekened , I enjoyed Croft on the radio but on the tv he doesn't seem to come over the same. |

Crofty does the shout bits (Brundle's term) well. Looking forward to the rest of the season being a terrific one. I don't recall seeing as exciting Australian GP since Webber debuted. _________________ Watching F1 since 1998... trackside at Silverstone, Shanghai and Melbourne. |

| Croft has calmed down a bit, it's much better this week. He's letting the pictures do more of the talking. |

Having only heard him in the qualifying session this week, I agree, WL. I did think he was a bit frantic in the Australian broadcast, a bit like a football commentator.
But... but, it was the first time commentating on television and perhaps one should allow him a little time to become accustomed to the different approach required for a different medium. |

But please can we ditch Georgie. What a waste of space, and she didn't even change after going to the gym! Anthony Davidson did a great job during the GP2 race, but he was tongue tied when stuck in that little room with Georgie. I'm afraid she brings nothing to F1.
Not impressed with Simon Lazenby, either. He may improve, but he's not a patch on Jake, who has that relaxed, laid back attitude that only the BBC seems to capture. |

J'agree. 'Laid back' is what Jake does so well, and for something like this it's exactly what you want from a main presenter. He's approachable while Lazenby is wooden and sounds like he's reading from a cue. |

| And no matter how bad it gets, remember this: Jonathan Legard's commentary on BBC Football League games is reminiscent of Alan Partridge crossed with early Championship Manager commentaries. |

Let's be fair to JL; he's no longer in F1 land so let's leave him be. _________________ Watching F1 since 1998... trackside at Silverstone, Shanghai and Melbourne. |

Thought Croft was good yesterday until the final 10 seconds, when they crossed the line. At that point, Brundle seemed embarassed.
Natalie P and Lazenby need to swot up a bit more; Kimi was not amused when she said "Well, you started fifth and finished fifth", and he replied "I actually started tenth!". Lazenby made a similar gaff about something else and Damon had to correct him (I can't remember what - but I don't get paid to!). |

Sauber missing their first win I think it was, totally unprofessional when you consider that the questions they ask are parrot fashion from the voice in their ears |

I think I'd agree there though, as Kubica's win was hardly Sauber, was it? |
