Ummm, doesn't Austin have the rights to the US GP for the next 10 or 12 years??? Or could there be a second US GP (which would surprise me no end)?

In the days when we used to have more than one Grand Prix in the USA, there would be the US Grand Prix East and US Grand Prix West.

So now we'll have a USGP East and a USGP South?

Or is this a precursor to a Tea Party secession in Texas...? Shocked

Looks like we are going to have another USGP East/West situation, then, with the impending announcement of the New Joysey race.

Good, let's hope that means we can get rid of Korea, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and the other useless holes of motor racing desolation on the other side of the world.

Alternatively, they could follow the NFL's example and call the sporting event held in Jersey the 'New York' Grand Prix.

In a similar vein, maybe "they" will refer to it as the World Grand Prix ... Rolling Eyes

Cheers

It will provide a very challenging course, they compare it to Spa in Belgium but it will have the feel of Monaco

Notwithstanding the question of who "they" are, I'm a little confused as to how a four-lane highway in New Jersey compares to Spa Francorchamps, but best of luck to them anyway.

Excellent idea, but Bernie will more likely get rid of Belgium, Japan, and another awesomely good circuit that promotes decent and entertaining racing Confused

Maybe Snookie and The Situation will grace us with their majestic sparkle on the grid walk, maybe a checkered-flag wave. Barf

Like Spa with the feel of Monaco? That sounds like some PR bullshit to me. No two circuits could be more different.
