What are peoples feelings on who is or was better at ferrari between Eddie Irvine and Rubens Barrichello? Personally i think that Barrichello is way better than what eddie ever was. RB gets the job done consistently for ferrari whereas eddie didn't.

Rubens is the better driver it's just a crying shame we hardly ever get to see him off his leash.

Oh yeah, Rubens IS amazing, that's the total crime of it all! One of the best EVER races I saw was an F3 dice at Thruxton. Barrichello, Salo and Hakiinen all going for it, Rubens was class of the field and I was so excitied when he finally got his break. It's just a shame to see him wasting way as Schumis lapdog. He'd make a great teamleader at Williams.....

Coulthard would make a good lapdog. he's useless, does as he's told (when beaten) and has already ruined his career. he's aready made no. 2

Barrichello is better, the Irv comes out in terms of entertainment value off track, not on. As for the ultimate lapdog, I have to go with Rubens. Imagine if Rubens and DC were in the same team, they'd be falling over each other to let the other past!!

Firstly, no comparison between Irv the swerve and Barrichello. Just look at their ability in the wet, or the average gap to MS in qualifying.
Last year, Rubens outqualified MS 6 times, with a season average deficit of .12 seconds. How many other drivers are there who could be as quick?
Second, comparing Coulthard with Barrichello is laughable.
RB is a clear thinking driver who knows that given the current situation in F1, the best option for him is to play second fiddle to MS, while trying to take the race to him.
Lets not forget that Rubens is 3 years younger than MS, and has to believe that if he continues to improve, must have a good shot at taking over the lead once MS retires.
Coulthard is a delusional has been who continues to proclaim this is his year, and follows it up by being outclassed by average drivers in the same car and on an even playing field. |
