Colin McRae 2 is goddamn old and still looks better than that |
The Wii doesn't have much more oompth than a PS2 so massively less than a PS3 or the other one. |
Duly noted. But even if it's still just a tad bit better than PS2, GT4 (or was it Gt3?) was on the PS2 and it was brilliant looking. Codemasters went even more casual than an older game of their own _________________ "One minute you're defending the whole galaxy, and, suddenly, you find yourself sucking down Darjeeling with... By the way, if you plug in the nunchuck you can control it with the stick. Once it's on an even playing field (controller wise) with other games/consoles it strikes how outdated the physics are. _________________ "With its F1 coverage from 2012 set to play second fiddle, the BBC promises to get fans close to the true experience - of being Mark Webber" #HIGNFY @don_lyall |

Reading the reviews, the new game sounds good.

I find Wii F1 2009 unplayable with anything but the retro control pad. With the wheel it's horribly imprecise. But it's a cheap cash in (I won't say nasty, but it's mediocre).
The Xbox/PS3 version does sound like everything I've wanted since Geoff Crammond and GP4, though. _________________ Life is.....the gap between Formula 1 Grands Prix |

I must admit, I couldn't wait for the game before hand. But after reading that article. I REALLY can't wait. But sooo long away till the launch! _________________ Massa? Schumacher? Ferrari yes, Mercedes no. What to do. SUFC. |

I've been waiting years for another decent F1 game and this one sounds like it will be amazing. Late September seems like a long time to wait |

I've been hurt before.
I'll believe it when I see it but it certainly sounds reassuring. Formula one lends itself so well to HD graphics and a fundamentally playable modality (certainly relative to football games) that it's ridiculous someone hasn't tapped the market.
It actually makes sense that the Wii game is so arcade-like, if it was meant as "My First F1 Game!" relative to the full-on simulators. I mean, even looking at the F1-2007 car in Gran Turismo, we have a serious step up from the Sony game. _________________ "With its F1 coverage from 2012 set to play second fiddle, the BBC promises to get fans close to the true experience - of being Mark Webber" #HIGNFY @don_lyall |
