So do the British Fans have a Pitpass get together at Silverstone ? Is anyone coming in from another country to go to Silverstone ? I'd be interested in a commentary on your weekend there. Who and what you saw, some pictures and your thought's in general. Was it better than last year ETC. You never know I might get to go one year Cool Where is the best place to sit for veiwing etc?

I went to Silverstone for my fifth consecutive year and enjoyed it just as much as I always do.

I find that the pit straight, complete with a radio and big screen is the ideal place to sit, although the views at Copse, Stowe, Abbey, Luffield and Woodcote are more than adequate. Indeed, despite the constant grumblings over spectator facilities, the only minor problem I've ever encountered is the queue out of the car park on race day.

Sunday did seem a lot busier than normal this year at the food and merchandise outlets but I guess the weather was a major factor in concentrating everybody into one area.

I had the pleasure of meeting Timo Glock and David Coulthard, for about the fourth time, during the course of the weekend and I've got to say how courteous these two gentlemen are to the public. Glock, in particular, made a point of trying to get a pen that wouldn't run in the wet, refusing to move on until he had signed an autograph despite the line of people he still had to sign for and the constraints on his time on a Sunday morning.

A great weekend was finished off with the perfect result from a British point of view and the race more than made up for the damp weather conditions. I actually thought the support for Hamilton was a little less patriotic than last year but rather than putting this down to anything negative, I take it as being a sign of the British fans appreciation of F1 in general.
