So... Sauber buying THEIR Ferrari is more ethical? A few blueprints does not a team make, as they are now rapidly finding out. _________________ Look into my eye... |

As a matter of fact I'd say it is. It's the difference between buying and stealing.
Mind you Sauber certainly have done an excellent job of stuffing up the aero on the front end of the C23. From about the roll-hoop back it is pure F2003-GA with 2004 engine and gearbox. |

To SF: Right on - one's a commercial arrangement, one is underhand.
Sauber are going to need a little time to learn how to drive their wind tunnel, but Mr Sauber is in for the long haul and spends his Swiss Francs wisely.

Although JV has been linked with Toyota, I can only see RS and the driver who scores the most points this year for the team staying, either CDM or OP. You could also throw in DC!! Although they have a crap car this year, Toyota are in the same position as Benetton were when Gascoyne joined them for '01. They were slow for half the season then picked up the pace and even got a podium. By '02 they were regular points finishers then they were getting podiums and a win. Next years car will and should be alot better. If JV goes there, I don't think his misery will last much longer, although a move to Williams if the RS to Toyota is confirmed or Renault would be nice. Let's just see how things go.

yes, but mike gasocyne has a lot of work to do with that toyota.....but with that budget......he'll surely make that car in to something good....
i still prefer JV going "back" to williams.... _________________ Jacques Attack! |

I'd love to see him back at Williams, but if he wants to go to Toyota so be it. We can't be too choosy!! It would be good for JV for two reasons. Firstly, if he wins it will instantly dispell the he needed a Williams to win myth and wouldn't it be great for JV to get one back over Honda by beating them in a Toyota, their main rival!!

Silverchamp, HoosierDaddy
I hope you don't mind but I've split off your posts into a new topic because I thought they deserved a topic of their own - see: Toyota, Sauber and the Ferrari connection.
For anyone who doesn’t know about the Toyota/Ferrari connection, see Mike Lawrence’s excellent and revealing articles.
